■ Environmental conditions of
atmosphere
From 1987
to 1991，the at— mosphere of Taopu area was monitored 3 times，data
got from the monitoring show that in autumn and winter seasons，
SO2，NH3 C0 reached standard Grade 2，HCLNOx and floating dusts
seceeded the standard a little．Atmospheric quality in autumn
is distictly better than that in winter．ⅡIf assessed with
comprehensive index，municipal Taopu Industrial Zone is mostly
on a medium level of pollution． The consistency becomes less
from east to west until it reaches the least around Taopu
residential quarters．The Indus- trial Park is located to the
north of Taopu residential quarters，therefore，the atmos- pheric
quality is better． 
■ Environmental conditions of water
Various rivers flow in
mu- nicipal Taopu Industrial Zone in which COD and NH3—N index
Of water quality is Grade 6． However，the water quality of
lijiabang， west of Luyang 3ridge，is Grade 4，then west- ward
again，the water Which flows into the New Chapu River，east
of the seat of the Idustrial Park is Grade 3，and to the south，the
water quality of nongchangbang in the original Xinyang Farm
area is also Grade 3．

of Soil
Value of aggregate assess- ment of heavy
metal in the soil： At 11 samples units in the northwest
tract there is no “medium-grade”or”heavy- grade”，pollution，neither
is there any”medium”or”heavy” grade of pollution relating
to 7 heavy metallic elements CU，Zn， Pb，Cd，Hg，Cr，AS in vegetables．

Xinyang lndustrial Park is in the northwest
of Shanghai， facing the Pacific together With the Great
Shanghal the future economic，trade and financial centre
of the world，and back— ing on to the Yangtse Valley economic
zone with great po- tential．So it has briliant pros- pects，thus
becoming an ideal treasure land for investment for foreign
and domestic persons of foresight．
